Remember this song?

"Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary
Pure and holy, tried and true
With thanksgiving, I'll be a living
Sanctuary for you."

I have always liked this song. The words and the tune. Singing it slowly and quietly. And then finishing with a flair of an upbeat tempo and louder chorus as if to let everyone know of our commitment to God.

Happy New Year

Happy New Years! It is hard to believe that 2016 is over. Time flies when you are having fun. Thank God for the past year, learn from your mistakes, grow from your tragedies, celebrate your successes, and seek God more intently in the new year of 2017.

I am not one for making "New Year Resolutions." It has been estimated that only about 8% of those who make new year resolutions actually keep them. So what is it that gets us so excited and focused to make the resolutions but lose that excitemen...
