Happy Thanksgiving!

I have a quick question for all of us to think about.  It is estimated that the US will spend $27 billion dollars on Thanksgiving meals.  What would happen if all of us took half of what we spend on our own Thanksgiving meals and spent it to feed the homeless all across the world?  That would be $13.5 billion dollars spent on those who need it most.

Baptism Celebration

Wow!  It never ceases to amaze me how happy it makes me to participate in a baptism.  The decision to follow Jesus is so monumental in someone's life and it is so incredibly exciting.  Sidney Simons was baptized on November 14, 2010 and I am thrilled that I was part of that.  Sidney needs our prayers and example as she lives for Jesus.

Kanawha Valley Unity Service

WOW!  Not many words could describe the service on Sunday.  It was simply awesome.  Approximately 330 people met together to sing, commune and share in the word.  Eight (8) congregations were represented (Cross Lanes, Griffithsville, Hurricane, Kanawha City, Nitro, Park Ave, Sissonville, and Danville).

It was apparent God was speaking through Steve Fox to talk aobut unity and how we were created to be in fellowship together.
